Table Booking Terms and Conditions
These Table Booking Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the reservation and use of a table at The Soak (“Venue”) by the party ("Guest") who wishes to book a table for an event or visit. By making a table reservation, the Guest agrees to abide by these Terms.
TABLE BOOKING
1.1 Reservation Confirmation: A table reservation is considered confirmed only when the Guest receives a written or electronic confirmation from the Venue management. The confirmation will include the date, time, duration, and any additional terms or fees associated with the reservation.
1.2 Further booking terms and conditions may apply to reservations during selected busy seasonal periods, including but not limited to: Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and the festive seasons during November and December. Any extra terms and conditions will be stated at the point of booking.
1.3 Deposit: The Venue may require a deposit or prepayment to secure the table reservation and a credit card may be required to secure your reservation. Any deposit amount, payment details, and refund policy, if applicable, will be specified in the confirmation.
1.4 Groups: Depending on availability, when making a booking for a large party we may require you to submit a pre-order in advance of your reservation.
1.5 Cancellation or Modification: The Guest must provide advance notice of any cancellation or modification to the table reservation. The Venue reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee or retain the deposit, depending on the timing and circumstances of the cancellation.
Table Usage
2.1 Timeliness: The Guest is expected to arrive at the Venue on time for the reservation. If you are running late for your reservation, please telephone the Venue directly. If we do not hear from you, we will hold your table for a maximum of 15 minutes after the reservation time. Failure to arrive within a reasonable time may result in the table being released to other guests, and the reservation may be cancelled without a refund.
2.2 Table Assignment: The Venue reserves the right to assign the Guest to a specific table or area based on availability and the size of the party.
2.3 Minimum Spending Requirement: The Venue may require a minimum spending amount per table, especially during peak hours or special events. The Guest agrees to fulfil this requirement by purchasing food, beverages, or other services offered by the Venue.
2.4 Maximum Occupancy: The Guest must adhere to the maximum occupancy limit specified by the Venue for the reserved table. Exceeding the limit may result in additional charges or the Guest being asked to vacate the table.
2.5 Conduct and Compliance: The Guest shall behave in a respectful and responsible manner while at the Venue, adhering to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Any behaviour that disturbs other guests or violates Venue policies may result in Guests being required to leave the Venue. In such circumstances, no refunds would be due.
2.6 Seating Duration: The Guest's table reservation is valid for the duration specified in the confirmation. If the Guest wishes to extend the seating duration, they must request approval from the Venue, which may or may not be given. Any extension may be subject to additional charges.
Payments and Fees
3.1 Payment Terms: The Guest agrees to settle all payments for the table reservation, including the deposit (if applicable), minimum spending requirement, additional orders, taxes, in accordance with the Venue's payment policies. The Venue accepts the following methods of payment:
(a) Credit cards: American Express, MasterCard/Diners International, Diners Club, JCB International Credit Card, Visa; or
(b) Debit cards: Visa/Delta, Visa/Electron and Maestro.
3.2 Splitting the Bill: The Venue may impose restrictions on splitting the bill among multiple guests or parties. The Guest is responsible for coordinating the payment arrangement with their party members.
LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
4.1 Personal Belongings: The Guest is responsible for the safety and security of their personal belongings while at the Venue. The Venue shall not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to the Guest's belongings.
4.2 Venue's Liability: The Venue will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the Venue, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise). The Venue’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it pursuant to the Guest’s reservation. Nothing contained in these Terms shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by the Venue’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
4.3 Venue Cancellations: Very occasionally the Venue may need to cancel a reservation. In such circumstances the Guest will be given a full refund of any funds paid in advance, but the Venue shall have no further liability to the Guest arising out of such cancellation. The Venue accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
Termination
Venue's Right to Terminate: The Venue reserves the right to terminate the table reservation at any time due to non-compliance with these Terms or any other reason deemed appropriate by The Soak Venue management.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with them are governed by English law. The English courts have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute arising in connection with these Terms.
